Well, I hope you’ve heard about this movie called 2012! I went to see it yesterday and… well, really cool movie, the effects are amazing but… afterwards I just could think about the end of the world. The movie is so realistic that after seeing it, you are convinced that all of that will happen. I’m still thinking about it even thought it might not be true because if you think about it, none of us know how the end of the world will be, however, we make our own “approximation” about how is it going to be and all of this ideas have something in common and all of them must have a piece of true. It’s really interesting to the people how others picture themselves the “apocalypses” and I found this idea (movie) very interesting since, just important people such as politics, famous people, and others who were chosen by their genetic code, were the ones allowed to entered the arcs and save themselves but… what about the pope? He dies as if he was a simple mortal and is not even mention in the movie. Now, if we think about the reality, the pope is a really important social figure and the head of the most powerful religion in the world, so, why was the pope not even mention in the movie? In my opinion, if everything were going to end as in the movie is shown; the pope will be the first person who is going to enter the arc even though he is a man of faith. Really interesting movie, please if you see it pay attention to every single detail because the movie has a really good message which our selfish and discriminative society has to learn for the sake of our future . It’s really hard to accept that many people, most of the world could be left behind just because they are not someone important in this world but it might happen and maybe, that type of cruelty which is shown in the movie was the element which touched me the most. But, as far as I know, our society won’t change for good, it’ll keep getting worst, so I got to the conclusion that, I gotta hurry up with my book and it better be good so that I can have a place in the arc.
